Be cool, be an iguana

The degree to which an animal faces danger reflects on the speed of his fight of flight response. If, for example, he lives in a predator-rich environment, he's wary of every movement around him. If, for example, he's like my pampered cat, he won't care whether you set the house in shambles as long as his couch remains untouched.
If you spot an iguana in Galapagos, rest assured he won't run away even if you're just a few meters away. The iguanas have mastered the art of meditation. They knew that harm won't come their way, save for a few stray hawks who try to feed on them.
Galapagos iguanas also know what it's like to live in human society, so we can bet our ass they won't try to step into the land of America. The act alone would cause them heart attack, Alzheimer's disease, and a perpetual stomach ulcer.
