How to make highly readable articles

"I don't have time, I'm too busy, I'll just check that out later." I wouldn't want to waste anyone's time, either. That's why I think graphic arts is one of the best things ever invented by man. Graphic arts exploit text design and tricks the eye into making even the dumbest arrangement of few letters meaningful.
"Color expresses something of itself," says Van Gogh. In the past, I would wrestle with these 5 tricks to make my text readable:
1. light vs. bold typeface
2. condensed vs. expanded
3. very tight letter vs. very loose spacing
4. black type on white paper vs. white type on black
5. ALL CAPS vs. all lower case
But times are a-changin'. These days, you can link a dramatic photo or a funny video, include a tiny sentence at the bottom, and you got an article.
The Internet has changed most aspects of our writing, indeed.
