In the future: Genius Cars that won't let you drive?

For Zeus' sake, buy yourself a genius car in the future if you get traffic tickets as often as you get stepped on the foot while on the road. The cars of the future, engineers propose, will lower your insurance costs, bestow you a good driving record, and let you live harmoniously with cops and environmentalists.
Joseph d'Agnese and Glenn Garelik reported six years ago in Discovery magazine that:
"by 2020, you will have to learn to drive a more automated car. You'll get behind the wheel of a smart car that avoids fender benders by braking before you even see danger looming. At a much later date, you will slip into a bucket seat as if at the movies...sit back, relax, PROGRAM THE CAR, and over the freeways to grandmother's house you go..."
I've never driven a genius car myself. In the 1970s, scientists and auto engineers saw the possibilities of electromagnetism and laser merging with transportation to produce wheelless railroads and laser-guided vehicles. Today, elsewhere in the world, these predicted technologies are manifest and are looking to have a real awesome future.
So far, we've heard of PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) in the UK which consumes low power electricity and runs on a dedicated guideway network of routes. In the French Riviera, the driverless Cybercar makes its way on the streets while in Singapore, a Driverless Train System is now open for business.
Because I've never driven a genius car myself, I'd only rely on the possibilities that they offer. A list of cool features that are likely to be included in the car of the future is found in this next article::
