Mom's uterus going out of fashion?

Lately there's been a growing concern as to whether moms should have the option to give birth to a tank-nurtured baby. I don't see the danger in doing so. But I see lots of complexities. One, the mother is going to have to spend more money for the procedure. Two, there will be more jobs for nurses while surrogate moms will get sacked. Three, more and more women will want to give birth to a "tank baby", because it's going to benefit them [painless birth], and the baby [disease-free] in the long run. Etcetera.
In the future, imagine real laboratory flasks in special health centers where babies -- thousands of 'em -- are kept immersed in nutrient solutions with health personnels monitoring them.
We humans are the willing guinea pigs of our own experiments. The irony is it's like a tug-of-war where one end of the rope affirms PROCREATION while the other one campaigns for BIRTH CONTROL. I wonder, which end of the rope are we pulling?
