Demented World - by Thoraiya Dyer

When did we start living in a demented world? When did it become possible to advertise a product that "brings health and life to your hair" when, in fact, hair consists of dead skin cells and lifeless keratin? How can something that HAS no life be healthy or unhealthy? When did it become possible to advertise that Echinacea is good for colds and flu, when The New England Journal of Medicine (Vol 353: 341-348, July 2005) in an article by R.B. Turner et al, it was concluded that the happy little plant has absolutely no effect at all? I'm ready to begin my crusade. Welcome to Demented World

Smart kids don't eat too many hotdogs!

With the cattle and livestock industry experiencing bad publicity lately, I wonder how far it's going to take the brunt. Consider this: British researchers have just found out that people who ate more veggies in adulthood were smarter kids than their hotdog-munching friends.

The simple reason may be the fact that smarter kids knew that veggies help eliminate bad stuff in our bodies, clean our arteries, and allow for better blood circulation, which is important for a well-functioning brain. So they tend to gravitate towards this herb-eating lifestyle as they grow up.

Incidentally, some people think that eating meat has been responsible for the growth and evolution of our brain from being primate-minded to being the smart homo sapiens that we are today. Others see this as just a campaign against animal slaughter.

I see this is as bad news for pizza-burger-salami hogs.

It would be better if we don't eat too much veggies or we'll get robbed of essential proteins, nor eat too much meat or we might end up with cardiac diseases someday. So how does your diet fare?

I'm an eat everything guy, and I typically eat most sorts of veggies.

I'm also a meat eater. I love meat, but it depends what part. I've tried pig face, but I can't eat chicken feet or pig feet, or goat.

But you never know how you'll end up in the future eating pig face, lol.
